About Me
With over 14 years of classroom experience and extensive involvement in tutoring, I bring a strong foundation in both pedagogy and instructional leadership. I hold a bachelor's in Childhood Education, a master's in Curriculum and Instruction, and a second master's in Educational Leadership and Administration. Throughout my career, I've worked with a wide range of students and learning needs, consistently striving to create learning experiences that are engaging, personalized, and results-driven. I tutor all core elementary subjects, including reading, writing, science, social studies, and math, but math is where my passion truly lies. For the past nine years, I've served as the lead math instructional planner at my school, collaborating with consultants and colleagues to implement research-based strategies that make math accessible and meaningful for every learner. Whether I'm preparing students for Standardized State Tests or adapting instruction for Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), I take pride in making learning both effective and enjoyable. My teaching philosophy is centered on building confidence through clarity and connection. I believe every student is capable of success when instruction is tailored to their strengths, interests, and learning style. My tutoring sessions are structured yet flexible, aiming to break down complex ideas in ways that feel intuitive and empowering.
Hobbies & Interests
Outside of education, I enjoy exploring new cities and cultures through travel, spending time in nature hiking, staying active with pilates, and getting lost in a good book. These experiences fuel my creativity and bring balance to my life, something I also try to model for the students I work with.
