Part of our success comes from our natural ability to instruct each other. I became more interested in teaching after homeschooling my troubled middle son. I have eight grandchildren today, so I am comfortable with sharing my son's rough path through childhood. He was doing terribly. The school had given up on him and asked me to help. My answer was to unenroll him. I was self-employed at the time and this was a reasonable choice for me. After three years, he earned high marks on his GED and went on to college. I considered teaching as a profession after earning my state instructor certification in law enforcement. Also, while in college, I found myself being an informal tutor to other students. Now I am here, ready to learn and grow while I help others learn and achieve.

I have many interests. More than I can undertake in a single lifetime. The world is rich in wonders. When I was younger, I enjoyed bicycle sports and football. Now that I am oldish, I paint, sculpt, and write. I like history and biographies. I enjoy the physical sciences and computers. I have a love for "junk" science fiction movies and shows.
