Memory updated Here's an enhanced version of your statement of purpose: With over 20 years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of working with diverse learners across grades K-12, teaching a wide range of core subjects. Currently, I teach high school English at an alternative school, where I support students who have not found success in traditional public school settings. I hold certifications in English (K-12), Elementary Content (K-6), and Special Education (K-12), with extensive expertise in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet the specific needs of each student. My teaching philosophy centers on a student-first approach, where I prioritize building confidence, fostering critical thinking, and tailoring instruction to align with individual learning styles. I am passionate about making learning both enjoyable and impactful, ensuring that my sessions are not only focused on strengthening academic skills but also inspired by students' personal interests.

I love traveling and exploring new experiences. When I’m not visiting museums or hiking with my daughters, you’ll often find me curled up on the couch with a good book and my bulldog, Emma, by my side.
