About Me

I am a graduate of Murray State University and Lipscomb University. At Murray State, I received two Bachelor of Arts degrees in history and Spanish while at Lipscomb I received my teacher practitioner license. Since graduation, I have traveled extensively, teaching two years in a low-income public high school in Tennessee; three years in Spain teaching English while improving my Spanish, and also tutoring children from low income areas of Kentucky and small towns in Valencia. During this time, I also acquired my TEFL certification. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Spanish, English, and History. I have a strong belief in the idea that anybody is able to learn and those who struggle simply need help in approaching the subjects differently. I love to help prepare for testing and sharing strategies and tips that allow students to succeed. I love to teach language in ways that are both fun and usable in the real world. The goal is to advance and improve in a practical way while also preparing to achieve in any form of testing. I love the idea of helping students smash expectations and learn in ways they never thought possible before. In my spare time, I love reading and running! I also love to travel and learn more about new culture and food.
