Hello! My name is Tyrell R. I am a New York State Certified Math Teacher with an immense passion for not only educating people in math, but making the learning process an enjoyable experience! Prior to that, I graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a minor in computer applications. My motivation for teaching stems from watching the significant impact that teachers have on students' lives and wanting to ensure that my contributions to the next generation exceed what was given to me and my generation. I have taught in environments where most students were given up on, but my mission has always been to speak life into these individuals. My genuine belief is that everyone is capable, especially with the proper guidance. My specialty is making students feel comfortable enough to allow me to help them maximize their potential. There is no level of understanding that I have not helped elevate, so I am confident I can help you achieve your goals in abundance! I have been teaching Algebra, pre-algebra, and a variety of math subjects for years now both inside and outside of the traditional school setting. I have experience teaching anything from 1 on 1, to small groups, to big classes. I have also taught Regents prep classes for those taking state tests in New York. Outside of math, I have a business where my co-founder and I make grade school and college visits to give presentations on financial literacy. Teaching people how to manage and invest their money is also an extreme passion of mine! I am open to having a free consultation meeting if you desire one.
