- I have been in education for a long time!
About Me
I've held roles such as teacher, administrator, mentor, instructional coach, and program coordinator in the Denver Metro area, West Chicago, and central Massachusetts. I have taught a variety of courses within secondary education, working collaboratively to increase student achievement and pursue issues of social justice. I enjoy teaching adults too; for example, I teach future teachers at the college level and supervise teacher candidates. I am passionate about training and retaining high-quality educators and providing equitable access to rigorous programs for every middle and high school student. I have a doctorate in Curriculum, Teaching, Leadership, and Learning from Northeastern University in Boston.
Hobbies & Interests
Before having kids of my own, I used to teach English Language Arts full time. So I LOVE to read and write. But I also know that not everyone loves reading and writing, so I also enjoy helping others get better at it. In my spare time, I foster kittens for a local rescue. It's a super cute hobby - full of cuddles and purrs. It is very rewarding to help them - they start out as scared, undernourished felines and develop and flourish in a home full of love and TLC.
