Hello! I am eager to share with you the knowledge and skills I have acquired through a diverse and multi-faceted background. Just recently, I returned to school to complete a graduate program in Public Administration, with a concentration in financial reporting and management. The focus of my master's degree reflects my enthusiasm for the fields of economics and accounting. In the first area, I have designed university-level, standardized test questions for an educational assessment firm, and have edited for final publication the questions drafted by my colleagues. I also have served as an accountant and treasurer on the board of a non-profit organization incorporated for educational purposes. Consistent with these pursuits, I have completed many academic courses in financial analysis, tax accounting, and business organizations. During the next year, I intend to continue the path toward formal designation as a certified public accountant by earning high scores on each of the requisite four-hour exams. However, youand the challenges you discover as you engage in learningdetermine the emphasis of our work together. I will inquire about and remain attuned to your needs and preferences regarding the content we study, and the manner in which we explore it. If our efforts involve more than one session, we will identify attainable short- and long- term goals to chart your progress. We will adapt resources and modes of conveying information, including my contributions as a tutor, to optimize your comprehension (e.g.'s, visual models, audio "readings," current event articles, real-life simulations, etc.). Further, to the extent possible, your input will establish the pace at which I introduce new material. And, I hope, you will enjoy the process! Education need not be a predominately stressful endeavor. I welcome the opportunity to reinforce and encourage the positive associations you make with your studies. My interests span a wide range, and my habits support their integration into daily activities. I remain drawn to economic and political events, classic novels, nonfiction audio books of all topics, great theatre and visual art, symphonic and a capella vocal music, and fitness. Most importantly, I value each these activities more when they are conducive to learning about others' experiences.
