I am a patient, kind, and a confident fit for a student seeking English (up to high school level for testing, writing assistance to university standard), Japanese (experience teaching age 12-14, early beginner to intermediate level/JLPT N5+N4), and Environmental Studies (AP test prep).I was a high honors/Dean's List student throughout my academic career. I was a server at a sushi restaurant for 2 years. I learned how to embarrass myself a little less every day contributing to noise of the small kitchen staff. I also learned how to most respectfully serve each of my guests. I am studying to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test at the N3 level this December (as they host the exam annually). I'm not nearly as fluent as I am in my native tongue, however I think it gives me great perspective to empathize with students feeling disconnected to their passion for grammar (in their first or second language).I got my B.A. in Global Environmental Studies from Clark University where I studied geography, management, and entrepreneurship. My dream is to be self-employed and consulting on the development and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. I volunteer time to serve as the Vice Chair of the Ambassador Advisory Council for the Global Citizens Initiative, which essentially means I'm always looking to engage in thoughtful discussion and project-based learning experiences with diverse, intelligent, motivated, young people from all corners of the globe. I look forward to meeting even more students!

I love spending time reading books, making maps, solving Sudoku puzzles, and completing the international scavenger hunt that is Pokemon Go.
