About Me
My name is Alyssa. I was also involved in the literary magazine. After high school, I headed to Samford University in Birmingham, AL. In college, I studied Philosophy and French with a concentration in Linguistics and some German on the side. I was involved in a sorority at Samford and served my sisterhood as the Judicial Chairman and I served the university as the Director of New Member Education. I have spent the past two years of my life living in Normandy, France, teaching English in a high school there. I've had the opportunity to travel a lot while in Europe it's opened my eyes to the many different ways that different cultures operate. I believe that everyone can learn a little something from everyone else. In 2018 I will be continuing on to get my Masters in Mind, Language, and Embodied Cognition at the University of Edinburgh- a philosophy and linguistics program. In my spare time, I really enjoy sports, gardening, and yoga. I enjoy a nice cup of coffee and long discussions about things that matter. I'm an avid writer and love to journal. I love teaching and plan to eventually turn my time in France into a teacher certification here in the USA.
