I've taught a variety of courses in the social studies including AP level History and Government/Politics. Teaching has always been my passion and I love it as much today as when I first started many years ago. I've worked with a wide range of students from a wide range of backgrounds. I've spent several years overseas working with non-native English speakers as well. I received my BA from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and my Master in Curriculum and Instruction from North Carolina State University. I believe tutoring is successful for most students because I am able to customize each session to the needs of an individual; this means instruction is tailor-made and much more effective. Outside of teaching and tutoring, I enjoying playing board games and card games with family and friends and reading a good mystery.
