About Me

I am a Masters student with a 3.9 GPA studying Industrial/Organizational Psychology. I have taken many years of statistics, both at the undergraduate and the graduate level, and have years of tutoring experience. As a high schooler, I independently tutored a young girl in both reading and math for several years. Separately, I also tutored two young women for whom English was a second language. In my undergraduate career at UCSD, I was a teaching assistant for an upper division psychology course. As part of my graduate assistantship, I also assist or instruct (depending on the semester) for undergraduate statistics. I host office hours and SPSS-based labs, grade assignments, present material, provide study tools, and act as as a support system for my students. I have experience writing graduate school application essays and reviewing others'. Lastly, I have a wealth of scientific writing experience thanks to years of research and Master's thesis work. I am passionate about helping people achieve that "A ha!" moment. I have a true love of learning - it has propelled me to pursue a graduate degree and to assist others in doing the same. I enjoy building relationships with those I can assist, seeing them grow and make strides. There's nothing quite like the confusion of feeling lost in one's classes. I understand this feeling, I empathize with it, and I commit myself to lessen and, ultimately, eliminate it for others.
