About Me
During high school, I worked for 14 months in a biology lab (UConn Health Center, Department of Cellular and Molecular Biology). I currently work in a chemistry lab at the University of Rochester, specializing in organic synthesis. In high school, I took AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, AP Calculus, and AP Physics (1 and 2), and I earned a score of 5 on the AP exams for each of them. Of course, academic success is not enough to be a good tutor; tutoring experience is required as well. In high school, I became a TA for chemistry and spent many hours each week assisting students on an individual basis, both in school and out of school. I have also tutored independently in biology, chemistry, physics, and math with approximately 150 tutoring hours total. Since I am younger than most other tutors, I am better able to relate to the students, which I feel is very important for learning.
