Tutoring was a central fixture of my extracurricular life during high school and college prior to my entering the business world as an entrepreneur. I missed the experience of instructing and mentoring in the years since I last tutored, and out of a desire to recapture the sense of fulfillment that comes with being a teacher, I began privately SAT tutoring in the local area a few months ago and was reminded of how well suited my personality and my intellectual curiosity are to teaching. I find it completely invigorating to see students grasping the concepts that underlie the problems we work through together, and it is so fun to develop a unique relationship with each pupil. There really is such nuance to helping each student overcome his or her unique set of test taking-related challenges, and I think it's a captivating experience each time.
