While working on my master's, I taught English 101 at the university I was attending. Prior to this, I received teacher training from the same university. My favorite aspect of teaching was the one-on-one interactions I would have with my students when they came for conferences or office hours. I believe that an important part of teaching is taking a personal interest in the students and helping them become self-motivated in their education.

I enjoy drawing and painting in my spare time. When I'm not doing this, I am playing fiddle or guitar.
