In addition to the arts, I am passionate about languages. I have spent much of the past three years to teaching myself Spanish. I pursued my interest in Spanish and language learning by receiving my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This experience broadened my worldview and gave me a greater insight into language learning. I have experience teaching a wide range of students, from new learners to intermediate and advanced. I have worked with students one on one, as well as with larger classes with a variety of learner types. My first priority is student understanding; to ensure that my students learn everything that they need to succeed, as well as when and how to use what they have learned. I believe that, aside from its everyday practical uses, second languages can offer new opportunities and experiences. It is my goal to share my language skills in an interesting and engaging way.
