I have 20 years of teaching experience in both the classroom and tutoring environments. My teaching and tutoring assignments have been varied, ranging from working in a combination 4-6 classroom, high school classrooms involving multiple subjects, and adults studying ESL. I have also been guiding students in preparing for the GED exam since it's new format in January 2014. By working with such a varied age population in various subjects, I have learned to work with students with different and unique learning styles and processing skills. This allows me to target the specific areas of need with each of my students in order to find the most effective way to present material so they will be successful in meeting their challenges. After only six months in my previous teaching job, I was awarded "Employee of the Month" as a result of my hard work and dedication to my students. I am skilled in making a personal connection with all of my students and together we always find a way to work as a team to meet each one's individual goals. I really look forward to helping guide your student on a path to future successes.
