I teach Digital Marketing courses to small businesses on behalf of the NYC government. It is rewarding, but there is nothing like the focused, one-on-one relationship that I get to develop with my students. Watching them learn and grow is one of the most rewarding experiences a person can share. I am a graduate of Pratt Institute in Brooklyn with a Bachelors degree in Communications Design. I have a Masters degree in Management and Technology from New York University. Because of my very specific professional and academic background, I specialize in tutoring any computer, portfolio, or business related subjects. I also enjoy helping students with math and reading. My teaching style is characterized by my ability to inspire students to want to learn??? I help them find a reason to do well. I prefer to guide students in the right direction rather than simply explain the answers and move on???it is important to me that students can independently solve problems by using and adapting my demonstrated methods. I recognize that students absorb information in different ways whether it is by seeing, hearing, analyzing, or reflecting, so I try to tailor my approach accordingly based on which method the student prefers or appears to be receptive to. I expect students to take responsibility for asking questions???fostering an inquisitive attitude is critical to maintaining a life full of learning. In my spare time, I organize volunteer glass cleanups in NYC parks and I make jewelry out of the broken glass that I and the volunteers collect. I sell the designs at an artisan market in Brooklyn. My wife and I enjoy walking around Brooklyn exploring new neighborhoods and taking pictures of unique architecture.
