About Me

I have always had a love for learning. Being an English major, I was very interested in courses that focused on different literary genres because I was amazed how writers could elicit strong emotional responses through their use of language. I loved how authors were able to transport me to different places and time periods where I could personally relate to their characters. I feel that tutors, like authors, have that ability to make learning special for each student. I see it as an eye opening experience that enables individuals to progress to the next level of learning. To me, this is the desired result of teaching. Having a Masters degree in Education and experience teaching Language Arts Literacy programs, I am highly qualified to assist students in achieving their specific academic goals. My approach to tutoring is to tailor lessons according to each student's unique learning style so that they will be as effective as possible!
