About Me
While in college I was employed by the University as a Math Tutor having tutored fellow college students through the Division of Academic Enhancement program for almost a year. I have extensive experience tutoring college-level Pre-calculus topics, including algebra, geometry and trigonometry, and Calculus I and II. I have also tutored Elementary Ordinary Differential Equations. Besides having a genuine enthusiasm for math, I enjoy helping others share that enthusiasm and understand its concepts. I also understand the importance of mastering the basics and can empathize with those who don't *get* math as that once was me. Rather than simply letting students watch me do their homework, I make each problem a cooperative effort and gradually help each student become less and less dependent on outside help.
Hobbies & Interests
I like playing guitar and banjo, reading, and cooking. I enjoy camping and traveling. While studying for my undergraduate degree, I am working towards becoming fluent in Spanish and hope to live abroad after I graduate.
