I am a sophomore at Columbia University majoring in biochemistry with a concentration in mathematics. I am invested in helping students of all backgrounds understand the foundations of math and science that make studying the subjects so exciting. I have extensive experience tutoring in all levels of mathematics from algebra I to calculus, as well as introductory to AP levels of chemistry.

I currently teach High School Chemistry, Biology, Geometry, and Algebra I and 2. I enjoy witnessing student growth - particularly, what I refer to as "light-bulb moments" - and achievement.

My name is Zovinar and I'm an undeclared undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania.I graduated from Stuyvesant High School in 2017 with honors in math and social sciences.My goal is to help high school students become better and more effective writers in any subject, whether that be history, literature, or science.

My mission is to instill a love of learning in students by providing them with the necessary tools to succeed. I have over a decade of experience teaching in the classroom and providing tutoring in a broad range of subjects.In 2005 I graduated from New Saint Andrews College with a B.A. in Liberal Arts in Culture (Summa Cum Laude). Following this, I taught at a small high school for five years, providing instruction in many subjects, including history, literature, Latin, English composition, and SAT prep. Following this, I took a break from classroom teaching (as my husband and I decided to grow our family) and pursued individual tutoring opportunities in English composition and music instruction. I am now in my third year at a small elementary school where I oversee all curriculum and provide instruction in 3rd-6th grade math, Latin, and English composition.When I'm not teaching, I write historical fiction set during the Middle Ages and the British Regency and do copy editing for a small press that my husband and I co-own.

I am passionate about helping students achieve their learning goals. I have my undergraduate degree from the College of Saint Rose in Elementary Education (Pre-K-6). I earned my graduate degree from the University at Albany in Literacy and Special Education. I have 14 years of teaching experience in Special Education as well as general education. I am strong at assessing student's academic needs and creating individualized plans to meet those needs. I use knowledge of each individual student , researched based strategies, and hands on learning to help students achieve his/her learning goal.

My name is Daniel Kearney, and I'm a recent college graduate living in New York City. My entire professional career has been spent working with youth. I love working with kids of all ages. Their ability to soak up information and improve is inspiring, and their energy makes work not feel like work. I believe that all students are capable of academic success and that sometimes all it takes is a novel approach. This is why it is important to understand the unique learning style of each student. My name is Andrew Heng, and I graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 2015. I am currently pursuing a career as a physician and will be applying to medical school in 2017. I enjoy meeting people of all ages and backgrounds and learning about their lives and experiences. I have always been an introspective person, and have constantly strived to improve myself as a person, along with the people that I choose to surround myself with. I started my journey while in high school, I took my first anatomy and physiology class and discovered that I wanted a career that would allow me to work with the human body. I was mostly interested in dentistry and orthodontics until I hurt my back in an offseason football workout. After I went to my Chiropractor I realized the importance of the structure of the spine and the function of the central nervous system. While in college I was named captain of our rugby team and enjoyed helping other learn and work together. I was a teacher assistant for an anatomy and physiology class during my time at Fairfield University. I continued my passion of helping others while at Palmer College of Chiropractic where I tutored the first quarter students in general anatomy where I aided them in understanding the anatomy with the use of cadavers. A short while later I was named the president of a chiropractic technique club called: Gonstead Technique. I plan on using my experience and knowledge to help others reach their goals and full potential.

Currently, I am a first year student at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, working towards my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Although unofficial, I will most likely continue on to minor in English/Literature or Art History. My skills vary widely in terms of tutoring subjects. I am personally equipped to teach elementary school through college level courses; however, as I have a passion for literature and the arts, I specialize and do best in tutoring English, Writing, and Literature Analysis & Critique. I love to equip my students with the tools they need to succeed in and out of the classroom - there is a difference between tutoring for the test, and tutoring to expand the way a person thinks, perceives, and analyzes the world. Outside of teaching, though, I love to write and read for pleasure, as well as learn about art and art history. I also play the french horn and the trumpet!
