My philosophy of middle grades education focuses on creating a student-centered learning environment that supports the academic growth and personal development of every student I teach. As a social studies teacher, I am committed to helping students become globally informed, culturally considerate citizens of society who can think critically about the world and perspectives around them.

I am a lover of books and reading! I believe a good book is a great escape from boredom. I love to travel, including to the mountains and beach! My favorite beach is Garden City, South Carolina.
