I am a biochemistry and biotechnology professional with a strong background in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, scientific writing, academic communication, English, French, ESL, and FSL. I enjoy helping students make difficult material feel more approachable, whether we are working through a science concept, preparing for an exam, improving a writing assignment, or building confidence in a second language. I have been tutoring on and off since elementary school, so helping others understand challenging material has been part of my life for a long time. I meet students where they are, identify what they already understand or can already communicate, and then help them bridge the gap step by step. For science students, I focus on helping them understand the "why" behind the material rather than simply memorizing terms or formulas. I use clear explanations, real-world examples, active recall, concept mapping, and guided problem-solving to help students build stronger foundations. For writing and language students, I use an immersive and communication-focused approach. I help students express their ideas more clearly, naturally, and confidently. I am bilingual in English and French. French is technically my native language, and I lived in France for six years, where I completed my high school education. This gives me a personal understanding of what it feels like to study, write, and communicate across languages. My goal is to help students feel less overwhelmed, more organized, and more confident in their own abilities. Whether a student needs support in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, scientific writing, academic English, ESL, French, or FSL, I aim to create a learning environment where questions are welcome, mistakes are part of the process, and progress feels achievable.

Outside of academics, I spend a lot of time with my dogs and enjoy gardening, hiking, tinkering with 3D printing, and being outdoors. I am also deeply interested in science, especially topics connected to my thesis work, such as precision medicine, organ transplantation, and transplant immunology. I am naturally curious and enjoy hands-on problem solving, whether that means working through a scientific question, planning a garden, troubleshooting a 3D print, or helping a student find a new way to understand something difficult.
