I've been a passionate reader and writer since childhood, graduating summa cum laude from the English Honors program at SUNY Albany, where I was also Features Editor of the Albany Student Press. After two NYC internships and multiple job offers before graduation, I launched a successful career in magazine journalism and spent more than 35 years as a writer, editor, media executive and world traveler before shifting to freelance writing and tutoring. My experience spans poetry, creative writing, features, profiles, news, investigative journalism, research, marketing and business communication. I help students of all ages strengthen reading and writing skills, whether they're working on essays, literature analysis, presentations or reports. I also support college applicants with personal statements and admissions strategy, and offer career guidance including resumes, cover letters, interview prep and professional storytelling. As a former VP and Content Director for a global media company, I advise on business skills, management, sales strategies, networking and communication.
