I hold a BA from Howard University, an MFA and M.Ed from Regent University and am currently finishing my PhD at Georgia State University. I enjoy assisting students with various writing projects, including personal statements, essays, research papers, resumes, and creative or dramatic writing. With a background in English and Theatre, particularly in literature, creative and dramatic writing, I am passionate about helping students express their unique voice in their projects. My tutoring philosophy starts with open communication. Tutees should feel comfortable in our sessions but also empowered to create their own visions with any assistance I can provide them. In addition, I want our sessions to be safe spaces where they can brainstorm, ask any question regarding the writing process and express their genuine feelings about their own writing. Outside of teaching and tutoring, I love spending time with my family, as well as reading, writing and attending plays.
