After graduating, I worked in curriculum development and authored a textbook, a biography, and several works of short historical fiction. In 2021, I moved to Tijuana, Mexico to work at a nonprofit which operates a boys' orphanage, an infant orphanage, and a home building program for low-income families, and I became fluent in Spanish in the course of my work there. I primarily tutor English grammar (for both native and non-native speakers), essay writing (for any discipline), creative writing, poetry, and Spanish; and I am happy to conduct sessions in either English or Spanish. I strongly believe in the value of human connection in education, and strive to form meaningful relationships with my students to encourage them to succeed.
