About Me

My name is Alyssa Arnold, and I am a dedicated special education teacher with over 10 years of experience in North Carolina. I hold a bachelor's degree in Early Elementary Education and Special Education from Kutztown University. My journey has taken me through general education classrooms for 6 years, followed by 3 years as a special education resource teacher, and I am currently a self-contained special education teacher for K-2 students. I am passionate about creating engaging learning experiences and providing tailored support to help struggling learners thrive. As a certified Reading Interventionist, I specialize in elementary school English and math, employing methods such as Orton Gillingham and SPIRE to meet diverse learning needs. My goal is to foster a supportive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.
