About Me
As a forensic scientist and passionate educator, I have experience teaching and tutoring middle and high school students in subjects such as AP Chemistry, AP Physics 1, and Earth Science. My teaching philosophy centers on identifying students' strengths and weaknesses, allowing me to tailor my approach to each individual's needs. I believe in creating a supportive environment where students can confidently explore complex concepts, particularly in algebra, which serves as a foundation for understanding advanced topics in science. I am motivated by the opportunity to connect with students and help them grasp challenging material through real-world applications, making learning both relevant and engaging.
Hobbies & Interests
If you can't find me, I'm likely traveling or spending time in my shop. Myself, wife, 3 kiddos, and pup have been to over 30 of the states in the US, with a goal of visiting all 50 in the next few years. We love national parks and love exploring all that is around us! When I'm at home, I like to tinker and build all sorts of stuff, including furniture, campers (I've built 2) and will attempt to repair just about anything.
