About Me

I am Jennifer Wischmeyer and I'm a retired high school teacher from the San Francisco Bay Area. I was a full-time teacher (30 years) , teaching all levels of French (I am fluent in French) and English and Language Arts, specializing in Shakespeare. I was department chair for the World Language Department at the high school where I taught, overseeing 12 World Language instructors. I have extensive tutoring experience, providing assistance to high school students in English, Language Arts, writing, reading, public speaking, SAT prep, PSAT prep, college admissions essays, and Advanced Placement exam prep (English, French). I have experience at the middle school/intermediate school level as well, having begun my teaching career at a middle school in the Chicago area. I look forward to working with students of any ability!
