About Me
As a passionate Microbiology Major at Brigham Young University, I am excited to leverage my strong foundation in the sciences to tutor students preparing for the MCAT. With over two years of teaching experience, including volunteer English classes in Brazil, I have developed effective communication skills and a student-centered approach. I employ a structured "I do, we do, you do" methodology to build student confidence, allowing them to grasp complex concepts through observation and practice. My extensive research background in microbiology and applied behavioral health experience enables me to provide real-world examples that make challenging topics more relatable. I am dedicated to fostering an encouraging learning environment where students can overcome misconceptions and focus on key ideas essential for their success.
Hobbies & Interests
I enjoy being physically active. I am the Vice President of my university's Water Polo Club team. I also enjoy spending time in the gym, biking, backpacking, and skiing in the winter. I enjoy spending time with my family and engaging in various activities, including cooking and playing card games. I enjoy learning new skills. This last month, I started knitting and am now in the process of knitting myself a jacket.
