About Me

As a passionate educator with over seven years of classroom experience, five years as a museum educator and two years of tutoring, I am dedicated to helping students develop their analytical skills in social studies by bringing history to life through engaging narratives. With a Bachelor's degree in History from N.C. State and a Master of Divinity from Campbell University, I specialize in a wide range of subjects, including AP U.S. History, AP World History, AP US Government and World Religions. My teaching philosophy centers on meeting students where they are in their academic journey, fostering a supportive environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking. I believe that understanding the stories of the past not only enriches students' knowledge but also empowers them to make informed connections to the present and future.
