I received my Bachelor or Science degree in 2006, with a teaching certificate for English, Language Arts, and Reading, (4-8) and Social Studies (4-8). I received my Master of Education in Administration in 2009, with a principal certification. While in college I tutored algebra and geometry. My favorite class in college was trigonometry. After college, I taught reading and social studies at the junior high level. i enjoyed teaching both, but I believe I am most passionate about reading. I am also really good at helping my students with test-taking strategies. If you understand how to read the question, you have a better chance of passing the test. Each student dictates my teaching style. I know not all students learn the same way. Being dyslexic myself, I like to see what learning style best meets the needs of my students and I adapt my teaching style to meet their needs. Outside of teaching I love spending time with my grandchildren. They are the light of my heart. Spending time with family and friends.

I love crafting and scrapbooking. I really enjoy making greeting cards. Basically any type a craft, I will try at least once. I find it very relaxing.
