My experience working with students has shown me that, while some may need more practice or a different approach, they all have the ability to grasp new concepts when given the right support. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from Georgia Southern College and a Master's degree in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders for Georgia College. These degrees, along with over thirty years of experience both in person and online, have equipped me with a deep understanding of the diverse needs of students, allowing me to tailor my teaching methods to each individual's learning style. I find joy in each of these subjects for different reasons. Science excites me because of the hands-on nature and the wonder it sparks in students when they see concepts come to life. Social Studies facinates me because it offers a window into different cultures and historys, and I love sharing that knowledge with students. English/Language Arts is another one of the subjects that I enjoy teaching. I enjoy teaching English/Language Arts becuase effective communication and the ability to effectively communicate and express ideas are vital skills for success in life. My teaching philosphy centers around the belief that every child can learn. My tutoring style is build on positive reinforcement and gentle corrections. I strive to make learning engaging by incorporating games as well as the child's interest into the material.

Outside of academia, I am an avid creator, enjoying activities like art, sewing, reading, gardening, camping, sports, and white-water rafting. These hobbies help me bring creativity and a sense of adventure into my teaching, inspiring my students to explore their own interests.
