As a student at Colorado College, majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Math, I'm all about the magic of molecules and the thrill of solving math puzzles. My passion for helping students comes from that "lightbulb moment" when everything clicks and they realize learning can be both fun and rewarding. I've worn many hats when it comes to tutoring. In high school, I was a mentor to middle schoolers, sharing wisdom and snacks. I organized "Cookies and Chem" study sessions, blending complex chemistry concepts with a side of sugar. I've also taught swim lessons, which, let's be honest, is just like tutoring but with more splashing. My favorite subjects to tutor are Chemistry and Math. Chemistry is like a grand detective story about the universe, while Math is the ultimate brain workoutno gym required! Helping students navigate these subjects and seeing their progress is incredibly fulfilling. My teaching philosophy is simple: make learning engaging and fun. I believe in breaking down tough topics into bite-sized pieces and using real-world examples (and maybe a joke or two) to keep things interesting. My style is patient and interactiveI encourage questions, curiosity, and a good laugh along the way. When I'm not buried in books, I'm out running, skiing, or hiking, embracing the great outdoors of Colorado. These adventures keep me balanced and bring a touch of excitement to everything I do, including tutoring. I'm here to help students conquer their academic challenges and maybe even have a little fun doing it.
