About Me

I am passionate about helping students because I believe that early childhood education sets the foundation for lifelong learning. Watching young children discover new concepts and develop their skills is incredibly rewarding. I love seeing the spark of curiosity in their eyes and the sense of accomplishment they feel when they master something new. Helping young students build confidence and a love for learning at an early age is what drives me every day. I have over 30 years of experience working with students in pre-K through 3rd grade. In my current role as a VE Teacher, I create and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles. I have worked with diverse groups of students, including those with special needs, and have developed a strong ability to differentiate instruction to meet each student's unique needs. My experience includes one-on-one tutoring, small group instruction, and classroom teaching, all of which have honed my ability to connect with students and support their academic growth. Currently, I am pursuing a Master's degree in Advanced Teaching. I have my Reading Endorsement and received my education from Nova Southeastern University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I also have attained an Associates degree in Early Childcare Education from Broward College. I tutor a variety of subjects tailored to Pre-K thru 1st Grade, including: Phonics Reading and Literacy Mathematics Writing My favorite subjects to tutor are Phonics, Reading and Literacy. I believe that reading is the cornerstone of all learning. Helping young students develop strong reading skills not only boosts their academic performance but also instills a love for books and learning that can last a lifetime. I enjoy using interactive and fun activities to make reading engaging and to help students build their confidence and proficiency. My teaching philosophy is centered around creating a supportive and nurturing learning environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to explore their potential. I believe in using a student-centered approach, where I tailor my teaching methods to meet the individual needs and interests of each student. My tutoring style is interactive and hands-on, incorporating a variety of activities and materials to keep students engaged and motivated. I emphasize positive reinforcement and celebrate every success, no matter how small, to build my students' self-esteem and love for learning.
