About Me

I am a graduate of LeMoyne Owen College (Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education), Cumberland University (Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Administration), and Nova Southeastern University (Educational Specialist in Curriculum Instruction Management & Administration). I have been teaching for 25 years which consist of 19 years teaching Kindergarten and 6 years teaching 2nd grade. I have tutored students from the ages of 4 -8 years old. I am very passionate about teaching English Language Arts. In my experience of teaching this subject, I have taught 4 years old to read fluently and be able to comprehend what they were reading on a Second-Grade level. I love this quote "I can and I will. "I may not be there yet, but I will get there and I will be successful." In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, husband, daughter, and granddaughter.
