About Me

I'm just a nerd who still genuinely enjoys sharing my love of learning. I graduated with my BA in psychology from Stanford University, and then I got my JD from Harvard Law School. Throughout my academic journey, I became a better student and a better teacher by the understanding that intelligence comes in many different forms and treating learning as a process that is not always linear and unique to each person. My passion for tutoring others grew deeper through tailoring my methods for teaching based on this in understanding. I have experience in a broad range of subjects, but I am most passionate about research and writing, including essays for standardized testing, admissions statements, or legal briefs; SAT/ACT/LSAT or other standardized test prep; law school admissions essays and any 1L class exam prep; and almost any area of Psychology up through graduate level courses. I strongly believe in the growth mindset and love to see students get away from the idea of fixed intelligence and get excited for their success and confidence on the stuff they struggled on before. I like to spend my spare time enjoying the outdoors with my dogs or on the water, going to pro sports games, live music at concerts and festivals, belting terribly while performing at the karaoke bar, and watching the Food Network to perfect my chef skills to cook for my friends.
