I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. After graduating, I worked as a substitute teacher and volunteered at a local elementary school. I have 26 years experience as a teacher in the primary grades. I continued my growth as an educator by obtaining a Masters in Reading and Literacy and Education Specialist in Technology through Walden University. Throughout the 29 years, I volunteered for our PTO, worked in the afterschool tutoring programs, and our local Boys and Girls Club. I understand the importance of having the necessary skills to become life long learners. As a teacher, I strive to bring the best researched-based practices into my classroom. I want to set the foundation for my students to be successful not only when they are with me but in their journey as life long learners. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, going to the beach, and spending time with my family.
