I possess a current professional teaching license from the Florida Department of Education in K-12 Reading, K-12 ESOL/ESL, and K-6 Elementary Education, and my teaching specialties are English, reading comprehension, and writing including SAT and ACT preparation. I taught grades 7-12 for 12 years in Florida using Achieve 3000 for the FCAT reading assessment and Read 180 for struggling readers. I use online fiction and nonfiction articles, SAT and TOEFL exam preparation booklets, and various websites which allow me to teach reading, comprehension, writing, and speaking better to my students. I also taught elementary school, all subjects, overseas for four years in the Middle East and Germany. I currently tutor several Chinese students online in English speaking, reading, and writing and also adults in conversational English at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels.
