Before that, I received my BBA and MBA from the American University. Currently, I am studying for another PhD in Consumer Apparel and Retail Studies at UNC Greensboro. Since I have started teaching, I have worked in more than one country, tutoring undergraduate students who are studying for their Bachelor's degree. I also taught and tutored IGCSE Accounting for high school students. While I tutor a broad range of Accounting subjects, I am most passionate about managerial and financial accounting. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for their assessments, we always seem to have the most fun preparing for the analysis and the problem-solving portions of the exams. In teaching, my main goal is to get students to actively participate in classroom activities that help them to actively learn rather than just passively learn. I design my lessons around the application of critical thinking skills to foster deep learning, and the use of collaborative learning skills to facilitate "real-world" problem solving and learning through application. I also use activities in the instructional process that are designed to help students develop research and writing skills. In my spare time, I enjoy a lot of shopping and a little less of reading.
