This includes guiding students on how to think for themselves, while also monitoring their own thinking. I focus on giving power back to the student. A few areas in which I excel include: really getting to know people and their interests, using student interests during lessons, strong problem-solving, general organization, different ways to teach most subjects, and student engagement. My teaching degree is from UNC Greensboro in reading and math for grades 6-9. I also hold a Master's Degree in School Administration that I earned in 2020. In the leadership roles that I have had at my schools, I trained countless teachers in math, reading, writing, speaking, science, and social studies topics in grades K-5 for about 3 years. I have also taught and tutored students in topics ranging from grades K-9.

During my personal time, I enjoy being with my family doing anything and everything we can get into such as traveling, walks in the park, amusement park trips, beach trips, gardening, and reading. I have loved to read since I was a teenager (and I am happy to say that my son, at 6 years old, already loves books and reading). I also enjoy rollerblading, yoga, reciting daily affirmations, advocating for my ethnic community, and contributing to educational forums on my social platforms.
