I try to promote understanding in my tutoring sessions rather than memorization. I think tutoring is one of the most important things I can do in life, because I believe that you only truly understand something when you tutor it (teach it to someone else). I implement this approach in my own studying. I think it is really important to meet students where they are at and build an understanding foundation from there.

I am a doctorate of optometry student, so when I am not conducting eye exams, I love to go on long walks, cook/bake, and spend time with my family and friends.
