As an undergraduate, I had the opportunity to throw myself into a rich liberal arts education at Yale University, where I majored in Music and Humanities but studied everything from Physics to the history of science in the French Enlightenment. At Yale, I not only learned strategies for critical and creative thinking that informed my own studies, but also experienced the value of sharing these habits with others as a volunteer teaching assistant in local schools. As a former camp counselor, I appreciate the need for education to inform and enrich the broad elements of a person's life, integrating theory with practice, knowledge with imagination, intellect with intuition. My goals as a tutor are often aligned with my impulse to inspire people through music and performance, where connection is sparked in the opening of specific technical practices towards creative expression of core human values.
