About Me

Hi. My name is Tom. I'm a 34-year-old Yale graduate (BA/MA) with extensive experience (10+ years) tutoring students for the SAT and ACT tests. I got a 1590 on my SAT. That score was on the first try so I didn't take the ACT at the time but I consistently score 35-36 on practice tests. I am equally comfortable teaching the English and Math sections of the exams and my approach is 100% test focused. Over the past decade I've taught hundreds of High School students both one-on-one and in small groups with both private tutoring companies and independently and I'm happy to work for Varsity Tutors now.
