I received my Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and hold two minors--one in Mathematics and the other in Women and Gender Studies. I initially started tutoring back in high school and have since integrated it into my life as more than just a job after seeing how rewarding it was. I want to help students achieve their short-term and long-term academic goals. My philosophy in teaching is to foster an environment that encourages and motivates students to learn effectively. Additionally, I want to ensure that they have the proper tools to master new concepts and skills on their own. Learning to learn is an important skill to possess, and one that requires constant review. Though I have tutored a wide range of subjects, I am most passionate about Mathematics and Physics. I have always enjoyed seeing the occasional breakthroughs students have with the more difficult concepts. However, it's even more rewarding to see students realize the numerous potential applications of math and cultivate a natural appreciation for the subject. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy hiking and biking and playing my ukulele.
