I have worked within grades 1 to 6, and have found that they enjoyed my method that focuses on rapport building and using that rapport to help relate students to what they are learning. I got my education at Grand Canyon University, graduating with a dual Bachelor degree in elementary and special education. I also have an associates degree in general studies as well as credits in an associates in English, with credits in nonfiction as well as fiction/folklore reading and writing. With my background and experiences, I tutor math, reading, and writing, but am passionate about supporting students in science and social studies. If students need help with reading as well as science and/or social studies, I use the passages from science and/or social studies to target reading comprehension skills that need support.
