About Me

A graduate of Texas State University, I was a music teacher and switched to special education in 2013. As a special education teacher, who believes all students can attain goals, I've worked in elementary STAAR grades (Texas 3rd-6th), and life skills K-8. I have also taught resource math for middle school (6-8). I was also an all inclusive grade level teacher for 5th and 6th grades (ELAR, Math, Science, Social Studies). Math, reading, and writing are my specialties, with math being my favorite subject. I have been a teacher of the year and also an administrator with school improvement. I started tutoring while I was in college and continued throughout my educational career. I retired from teaching at the end of the 2024 school year and now tutor online. I look forward to continuing working with scholars and seeing them succeed.
