I graduated from Smith College with a degree in Geology and minor in Astronomy, before going to Arizona State University to get my Masters in planetary Geology. I was a teaching assistant while at ASU, and loved seeing the students when they finally understood a concept, and I knew I would go into teaching. I have been teaching for about 20 years, both in a classroom and now for an online school, and have worked with students of all types of educational levels and backgrounds, and technology skills. I always love helping students learn HOW to think (not WHAT to think), and showing them how they CAN do science, as they do it everyday in their daily lives. I always try to involve real life examples, to help students see that science is all around them and they interact with it all the time.

Gardening, knitting and crochet, baking anything sourdough, learning pioneering skills, almost anything crafty.
