My Master's Degree is from Fordham University. My Bachelor's Degree is from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus and my teaching degree is from the Moneague Teachers' College. I have been teaching since 1998. I have taught Students from as young as 2 years old to adults. I am currently available to tutor ELA, reading and High School English. My absolute favorite subject to teach is reading. Education is a lifelong career; it encompasses our lived experiences as well as our learned experiences. It is by no means static. As new information becomes available, based on research, we need to adapt and be ready to evolve with it. This does not mean that you have to lose your sense of identity, personal attributes or other aspects of you that makes you unique as a teacher or an individual. What this means is that you will be so equipped for the challenges ahead that you can help your colleagues as well as your students. As an educator I believe that there is potential in all of us just waiting to be nurtured so as to promote growth. There are hidden talents waiting to be discovered and ushered into the right direction. I believe that by channeling the prerequisite skills students come with, we can unearth skills beyond imaginable. My philosophy with regards to Education is that instruction must take into consideration the learner and varies based on specific learning targets. I love finding new and exciting adventures that I can share with my kids. Going to theme parks, museums, boat rides, wherever the adventure takes us.

My hobbies are writing, reading, singing and staying spiritually connected. I am the author of the books, Life is a Cycle and What it means to be Black.
