Hi, I'm Aarzu! Since I was in elementary school, I have been making efforts to learn and understand mathematical concepts at more advanced levels through self studying and classes outside of school. I tutored at my local Russian School of Mathematics as well as at my high school through the National Honor Society. I also have experience tutoring high schoolers in chemistry. I love finding ways to explain complicated concepts in simpler ways because not only is it rewarding to help others gain a deeper understanding of a subject I am so passionate about, but because it gives me an opportunity to understand the concept at a deeper level. Aside from my experience tutoring kids in both simple and advanced math concepts, I also have the grades and test scores to indicate my knowledge of the material. I received an 800 both on the SAT II Math Level 2 Exam and the math portion of the SAT. I also received a 5 on the AP calculus exam. I was an active member of my high school's competitive math team and was also the captain as an upperclassman. I truly love working with students and finding the most effective way to help them understand the material at hand. I am very patient and I believe that it is important to highlight how far a student have come, rather than just how much they have left to learn. Some of my interests include reading, listening to music, playing video games, playing the viola, crocheting, and working out. I am very interested in science and math and am always curious to do more research in these areas.
