About Me
I've wanted to be a teacher since I was in high school because I want to help others achieve their academic goals as I have, and I've found that tutoring is a great way of doing this as well! I've worked as a developmental mathematics tutor at Illinois State University for one and a half years where I help college students succeed in pre-algebra and algebra courses. I'm currently a senior at Illinois State University studying secondary mathematics education and K-12 computer science education, and I am participating in a year-long student teaching internship at Normal West High School in Bloomington-Normal Illinois. As an educator and a tutor, I believe that mathematics is best taught through exploration and problem-solving, where students are encouraged to learn mathematics by solving and reasoning through problems.
Hobbies & Interests
I am a huge hockey fan and I love going on fishing trips throughout the year!
